• Removing and replacing old cladding with a high‑performance render carrier board
• Using a lightweight monocouche render suitable for render board and EWI systems
• Choosing a finish that will match a new blockwork extension planned for later in the year

To deliver a long‑lasting and consistent finish, the following products and systems were used:

• PRB Systems Fondisol Basecoat with full reinforcement mesh
• PRB Thermolook Lightweight Monocouche Render
• Colour: Light Grey
• Finish: Scraped monocouche finish

This project required careful preparation and precision to ensure the new system performed exactly as intended. Our team carried out the following steps:

1. Protection of all surfaces – including floors, windows, soffits and remaining cladding areas
2. Installation of render carrier boards in place of the old cladding, fixed and detailed to industry standards
3. Application of a 5mm Fondisol mesh‑reinforced basecoat to stabilise and strengthen the substrate
4. Application of a light grey Thermolook monocouche render, achieving a clean and consistent modern finish

The combination of a reinforced basecoat and a lightweight monocouche topcoat ensured maximum durability with a contemporary aesthetic.
